Resource Centers Open April 12
As we have shared with you the last few weeks, Pivot Charter School is excited to open our resource centers again to provide academic support for students that will enable them to successfully complete a challenging year. We hope that by opening our resource centers students will avail themselves of the opportunity to get academic support and socialize with their peers again.
If you click the Resource Center Sign Up Sheet link sent via ParentSquare, you will see a form where you can sign up for a “stable group” time to be on campus as required by the California Department of Public Health and the California Department of Education. Students must only attend when their group is meeting and will not be allowed to switch stable groups or come to the resource center other than on their chosen days.
- Check out the Resource Center Check-In Info Sheet to see requirements for students visiting a Resource Center.
- Use this Google form each day to check-in

More detail about the requirements can be found in our COVID Safety Plan.

Re-Enrollment Deadlines for 2021-2022
Re-enrollment will be completed online this year and will be easily accessed from your computer. Please look for an email from your Site Coordinator Bill Calleja regarding how to access the user-friendly re-enrollment process that is individualized to you and your student. The subject of the email will be Pivot Charter School Re-Enrollment for Next School Year. Current students will have priority to secure enrollment before new students until April 2, 2021. If you do not re-enroll during this priority time, it is possible that you may be placed on a waitlist as we will enter “open enrollment” for new students on April 5th. Students who are on Tier 3 of MTSS may not be eligible to re-enroll due to a Truancy Committee determination that independent study is not an appropriate educational environment for the student. You will receive any potential determinations by May 15th.
Pivot Charter Schools Executive Director Jayna Gaskell recently authored an op-ed calling for educational systems to adapt and support the options that best meet the needs of families, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic. We invite you to read the op-ed online, which was published in newspapers across the state!
