Flexibility to Learn Online and at Our Resource Center

Students can work from home and on their own daily schedule. Students can login and access their courses from anywhere there is internet access. Students are assigned to a local credentialed California teacher at the Pivot resource center to help provide daily oversight, motivation, and referrals for support, if needed.

Individualized Curriculum

Pivot is a blend of a unique individualized online curriculum coupled with support and oversight from a credentialed teacher and access to on-site activities and academic support. Because curriculum is tailored to each individual student, Pivot provides an exceptional program for students who have struggled with their academics for any reason, or for students who want to “get ahead” and progress at a pace that is more commensurate with their abilities. Diagnostic assessments allow Pivot to determine what gaps students may have in their prior learning and develop a plan to remediate those gaps before pressing a student forward in their academics. The ability for students to complete courses faster than they would in a traditional classroom also provides opportunities for early graduation and college acceptance or job placement.

Commitment to Student Success

Pivot is committed to the success of every student. Our teachers work directly with students to help orient them to their online classes and answer questions, as well as provide fun classes and school-wide events. Our teachers get to know their students incredibly well and make that personal relationship the foundation for student success. In fact, caring, understanding, and meeting students where they are at are Pivot staff’s greatest skills.
